Camera Batteries
Camera batteries are one of those accessories that are not often considered. After all, the camera comes with a charger, and you figure you will be able to use it endlessly. Yet frustration will set in quickly when you find yourself out and about only to suddenly look helplessly at the flashing battery sign that indicates that your equipment has just about run out of juice.

Digital camera batteries are no different from other equipment in that respect; as a matter of fact, you might actually find that the camera batteries you are using for your digital equipment will be running dry much sooner than the batteries your previous equipment required. Fortunately, camera batteries are not all that expensive, and if properly used, you will be able to spend a lot of time doing your hobby.

You can purchase camera batteries wherever you are purchasing your photographic equipment. There are Sony digital camera batteries, the Cannon camera battery, Kodak camera batteries and a host of other camera batteries to fit the wide variety of different brands of cameras. You will be able to choose between the brands specific batteries that can be charged, versus the relatively generic battery charger that will keep you supplied with rechargeable batteries.

It is important that you purchase a digital camera battery that is specifically designed for your camera. Your camera battery is designed in such a way that it will not trigger any problems with your equipment. If, however, you attempt to use a Sony digital camera battery instead of Canon camera batteries for a Canon camera, you might run into trouble.

While different manufacturers usually do not have compatible equipment anyway, those who do might lure you into believing that one size fits all. Nothing could be further from the truth! Sony camera batteries are not at all compatible with other equipment, simply for the fact that the batteries have not been configured to support all the applications the camera offers in a consistent manner. The same is true for Blue Shape camera batteries, Fuji batteries, and various other models. While there are general chargers available, they sometimes will decrease the functionality of your equipment.
