Canon A620
The Canon a620 Powershot camera is a digital camera, and as with all other A-models, is designed for semi-professional use. The A-series is one of the best selling digital cameras in the world, and in particular the a620 is an update to the a95 model of yesteryear. The Canon a620 is thought of as the head of the A-class, with its seven megapixel resolution and a 4X optical zoom that spans a 35 millimeter to 140 millimeter range. Advantages Of The Canon A620 Digital Camera One definite advantage of the Canon a620 is that like the earlier a95 model, it packs in full manual controls and a long list of scene modes into a moderately small camera. The interface is easy to use making the Canon a620 digital camera useful to snapshooters, while the manual control makes it attractive to serious photographers. The Canon a620 has improved technical performance, with a Digic II processor which helps timing and flash and a continuous shooting speed with high resolution at about 1.8 fps with limitless shots. The LCD screen measures two inches, slightly larger than the old a95 model. The image quality is very good, providing detail and sharp focus. Exposures were spot-on and color saturation was accurate. Additionally, the Canon a620 has a video camera feature which allows high quality movie clips with sound up to 1 GB. Two much talked about features include the Flexizone focus option, which allows you to line up horizons and straight edges, and the Safety Shift feature, which adjusts the aperture priority or shutter mode if your choice doesn't work.

Camera accessories aside, the Canon a620 camera case looks a lot like the a95, with only some difference in the gray body color. In measuring, the Canon a620 is very similar to the a95 in weight (11.5 ounces) and in that the camera offers a hand grip, for those photographers with larger hands. The location of buttons has also been changed, fitting the controls comfortably to the right of the LCD, everything within one-handed reach.
Drawbacks Of The Canon A620 Camera For Sale The Canon a620 did report some difficulty with noise with higher ISOs and purple fringing. Speed is an issue, as compared to some competing cameras, the Canon a620 camera is not the fastest to buy; using the flash slowed the snapping down to about three seconds in between photos. Finally, the covers for the SD slot and DC and A/V connectors were flimsy. Yet for a cheap but very good quality camera, the Canon a620 gets a positive review, likely to be as popular as the a95 predecessor |
