Limitations And Features Of The Canon Sd900
While the Canon sd900 is a cheap camera and worth what you pay for, this review will also consider some negatives. The sd900, like other models of the Canon sd series, is low on special features. Most of the shooting will take place in automatic mode, or through camera presets. As far as customizable settings, the sd900 is still a snapshot camera and no substitute for a full camera with manual controls. However, you are still able to adjust the the exposure, white balance, and the ISO sensitivity. The Canon sd900 has a Digic III image processer, which allows the camera better performance, battery life and image quality over past models. The Canon sd900 also comes with a video camera feature, in which you can take movie clips, in VGA or XGA format, with 30 fps or 15 fps for the latter. As far as the photo quality goes, photographers notice that photos are sharp in the center, with some softness around the edges of the frame. (This can often times create a glow on certain objects) Camera accessories and other special camera equipment are available with the unit. The Canon sd900 is a cheap camera for sale, but one worth the lower cost, especially if you plan on taking simple snapshot photos |
